Q. How does the trial session work?

 

You can book a trial session at any time during the term. This allows your child to try the class before you pay for the full term. It is not a free session, but there is no charge if you decide not to continue after the trial. If you choose to continue, the normal term fees apply.

 

Q. Can I join mid-term?

 

Yes! You can enrol at any time throughout the school term. The term fee will be charged at a pro rata rate (e.g., if you join halfway through the term, the fee will be half price).

 

Q. How much does the program cost?

 

Our program runs in line with the school terms (typically 8 weeks per term, 4 terms per year). Enrolments are term-based.

 

• 3–5 year old class: $160 per term (Saturday 8:30am only)

• 5+ year old class: $180 per term

Q. How long is each session?

 

The duration depends on the age group:

• 3–5 year old class (Saturday 8:30am only): 45 minutes

• 5+ year old class: 1 hour

 

Q. How are the sessions structured?

 

Sessions are divided into two parts:

 

1. Fun Games (2-3): We start with individual skill-type games designed for fun to help children ease into the session.

 

2. Soccer Match: We end every session with a fun-spirited match. This gives the children a taste of a "real" game without the pressure of competition.

 

Q. Will my child play with different ages?

 

We have two main groups: 3–5 years old (younger group) and 5+ years old (older group).

 

Many of our initial games are individual skill-based, allowing mixed ages to play together comfortably. When it comes to the match portion of the session, children are often matched by skill level rather than strictly by age.

Q. What should my child bring and wear?

 

Please ensure your child has the following:• Comfortable clothes• Closed-in shoes• A hat• A water bottle. Uniforms are optional and available for purchase through the customer portal or by emailing tigh@sharkysports.com.au

 

Q. Where do we go on the day?

 

Please head straight to the school oval. Look for the coach who will be wearing a blue Sharky Sports uniform. Your child will be signed in with the coach there.

Q. What happens if it rains?

 

We generally do play in light rain and try to avoid cancelling sessions where possible. However, the school may close the oval in poor weather. If we cancel, you will receive an email and a text message. If you do not receive a notification, soccer is on! Please ensure your contact details are current via the customer portal.

 

Q. If a session is cancelled, is there a makeup?

 

Yes. If we cancel your session, we will attempt to organise a makeup session and will send an email with the details. You are also welcome to attend a session at a different time or location if that is more suitable. Please contact us directly to arrange this.
